Vikki Donaghy School of Motoring

  1. How do I contact you?  The best way to contact me is by text as being on the road a lot means I’m unable to answer calls. Please be mindful of timing as I only answer between 8am and 8pm.
  2. What areas do you cover? I cover Constantine, Falmouth and Penryn areas. If you live outside these areas & prepared to meet me in any of these, I’m happy to do that.
  3. How long will I be on the waiting list? As you probably already know, there is a huge demand for driving instructors currently. I’m trying to get through my list as quickly as possible. It’s  very difficult to give an exact date as it all depends on test availability and passes.
  4.  How many lessons will I need? That is a good question! The national average is 40 hours but it varies massively. Things that can lessen the hours are if you’ve driven a vehicle before (ie a motorcycle) are able to get lots of practice in between lessons and sometimes down to just being a natural! My aim is to get your on the road safely and honestly without unnecessary hours.
  5. When should I book my test? If you are planning on taking my car to the test, please do not book a test unless we have discussed whether you are ready to.
  6. What happens if I need to cancel a lesson? With the cost of everything going up, sadly if you’ve not given at least 48 hours notice prior to your lesson you will be charged the full price.
  7. What if I want a break from lessons? Again with such high demand, if you chose to have a break then you will have to go back on the waiting list.
  8. How do I pay you? I have an I Zettle in the car so I can take contactless payments and am also happy with BACS payments and will give you my bank details at our first lesson. I no longer accept cash.
  9. Can we start or end the lesson at a different location? I plan my day in advance around the details agreed when starting lessons. If you need to change that, it needs to be discussed at the lesson beforehand due to increased fuel costs.
